    Film is what I make. Data is how I think about it.

    I'm a filmmaker drawn to people, places and the histories they carry. I've studied and worked from Exeter to the Isle of Lewis, Edinburgh, Lancaster and Skye, and most of my films come from paying close attention to wherever I am.

    By day I'm a trained data analyst, with a Distinction in a Level 4 Data Analysis apprenticeship. I spend my working week in London turning numbers into decisions for one of the UK's best-known retailers. That habit of finding the story in the detail comes with me on set, along with tidy files, realistic schedules and budgets that add up.

    Evenings and weekends belong to the camera: shooting, editing and slowly building Vic, the documentary about my grandad.
